I am hearing that the charges against Chris Rainey have been or are about to be dropped entirely. While this would make Rainey good with John Law, he would not be off the hook with regards to being on the team.
I would imagine that if the charges are dropped, Rainey will be suspended for at least 3 games and then back with the team. As for why I think 3 games - a 2 game suspension would mean that he would be back by the Alabama game, which would be a publicity nightmare.
